All-In-One Motors Demystified
The all-in-one electric bike wheel houses all components of the system in the hub or wheel. This includes the motor, battery, controller and is often offered in both front or rear wheel configuration.
In general, all-in-one systems are easy to install or remove because it only typically involves the replacement of either the front or rear wheel along with the installation of a few secondary components.
All-in-one systems generally keeps the bike looking uncluttered.

People looking for a discrete e-bike system may prefer the look of this type of e-bike system.
Some all-in-one systems have smartphone integration that provides additional features such as adjusting the system settings, tracking ride data or locking the wheel when not in use.

You need to replace your original wheel in order to use and all-in-one e-bike system
Larger all-in-one motors are often heavy and this extra weight can be impractical to continue to cycle with when the battery runs out.
Housing the battery close to the motor can expose the battery to excessive heat that may eventually affect its range and lifespan. Some all-in-one systems may have designs that minimize this issue but this should be evaluated on a system by system basis.
Some all-in-one systems offer only one size of battery pack which may be too limiting for some cyclists. Battery sizes cannot typically be increased unless the entire system is replaced for one with a larger battery.
Repairing or replacing components of an all-in-one system may be more difficult than a traditional electric bike. In some cases, the entire wheel may need to be sent back to the company for servicing.
